Figured this one out on my own 30 years ago and only shared it with close friends. Also made sure to carefully release the big fish because I knew most were breeders - before slot limits. Hopefully you all do the same with oversized fish, the picture to show off isn't worth harming the fish.

What the hard part is is how to get the sand dabs in the first place.

8oz on Possession? I struggle to keep 16’s down without having 200’ of line out in 85 ft of water. You must be doing serious back trolling and basically sitting in one spot?

Since I am cheap...I use a flat wide rubberband and cut them into squares for my bait stopper instead of a buzzbomb bumper.
